Bio-based circular flagship packaging solutions

Laminated barrier
stick pack

A bio-based and biodegradable film laminated on pulp or paper and made from over 95% renewable resources. This innovative film will set a new standard with its enhanced moisture and oxygen barrier properties, ensuring safe packaging for dietary supplements. It offers versatile end-of-life options, including repulping, home and industrial composting, and cellulose fibre recycling. This film can be produced using a variety of technologies including film blowing, barrier coating and paper lamination. For products with a high risk of accidental release into the environment, this material is also biodegradable in soil and does not release microplastics.

Food
trays

biobased and biodegradable film laminated on pulp or paper and transparent multilayer lid made from over 95% renewable resources. This solution for fresh meat and dietary products will be at forehead in innovation thanks to the enhanced moisture and oxygen barrier, deep forming capability and improvead sealability of the biomaterial, as well as thanks to an easy-opening feature. The trays can be produced thanks to different techologies as film blowing, barrier coating, thermolamination. After its use, this product can undergo repulping process, as well as industrial or home composting.

Multilayer barrier flexible film packaging

Biobased and biodegradable film made from over 95% renewable resources laminated on pulp or paper, this innovative biomaterial ensures improved barrier properties to moisture and oxygen, maintaining the crispiness of the content (crispy snacks), while ensuring improved toughness and less noisiness. This solution can be produced thanks to different technologies as film blowing, and barrier coating lamination.  Being used for products with a high risk of accidental release into the environment, this material is also biodegradable in soil and does not release microplastics.

Expanded
thermoboxes

A biobased material made from biopolyesters with over 95% renewable resources, this innovative solution set new standards with its reduced density and improved resistance to heat transmission, ensuring easier transportability and preservation of the content (frozen loose food). These products can be produced via beads and microbeads foaming. The boxes can be re-used and then recycled and, being at risk of accidental release into the environment, they are biodegradable in soil and does not release microplastics.

Injection moulding
coffee capsules

A bio-based rigid thermoplastic materials made from over 95% renewable resources, this solution will set a new standard with its improved oxygen barrier to enhance organoleptic properties preservation and improved thermo-resistance to avoid geometrical deformation. This solution can be made thanks to technologies such as injection moulding and flow pack in multilayer barrier film. The exhausted capsules can undergo industrial or home composting, with no microplastics release.

Thermoformed
cups

A bio-based material made from over 95% renewable resources, this innovative solution presents improved moisture barrier and improved thermo-resistance to allow disinfection (the cups are used for yogurt and dairy products). This packaging can be produced by sheet extrusion. Made to be easily snapped after use, the caps are compatible with both industrial and home composting, with no release of microplastics.

Woven tea
bags

Made of flexible thermoplastic biomaterials obtained from over 95% renewable resources, this innovative solution set a new high standard with its reduced shrinkage in hot water and its home compostability . The technologies used to obtain this solution are melt spinning and weaving. After use the bags are compatible with both industrial and home composting, with no release of microplastics.

Air bubble
films

Flexible thermoplastic transparent biomaterials made from over 95% renewable resources, this solution represents a huge innovation thanks to its higher barrier to hair, translating in less deflation of the air bubbles while improving shelf life. This solution can be made by technologies as filming and air bubble forming. The product can be recycled, and does not release microplastics.
