On June 24th in Rome, at Spazio Europa, the event “The Circular Bioeconomy: Italian Leadership in a Competitive Europe” was held, organized by the SPRING Cluster on the occasion of its annual assembly.
The central theme discussed by the speakers was: in a Europe striving for competitiveness and strategic autonomy, the circular bioeconomy continues to be a key driver in combining environmental sustainability, industrial innovation, and territorial cohesion.
Opening the event was the President of the Cluster, Catia Bastioli, who stated: “This is the time to act with vision: we must leverage excellent projects and technologies across regions and connect them to create a diversified, resilient, competitive, and inclusive European ecosystem.”
In this spirit, the importance of cooperation between countries was emphasized, particularly through participation in European projects — with the TERRIFIC project serving as a clear example.
